Residents Heerlerbaan in collaboration with Jos Zandvliet Septimia Kuhlmann (NL)
On 31 August, the Heerlerbaan district will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a musical theatre parade led by ACCU. Jos Zandvliet and Septimia Kuhlmann (Dogtroep) will tell the story of Heerlerbaan with the help of young dramatists, associations, and local residents of all ages. The parade promises to be a visual spectacle with unusual characters, atmospheric images, humour, and music. A special children’s programme has also been organised, as well as a performance by the Care&Culture choir founded by health-care organisation Sevagram and primary school De Tovercirkel.
The parade will start on Friday 31 August at the source of the Caumerbeek near Horicherhof and will end at the high-rise apartments on Peter Schunckstraat, where two new XXL murals by Stichting Street Art will be unveiled.
Care&Culture Sevagram choir
Health-care organisation Sevagram and primary school De Tovercirkel jointly founded the Care&Culture Sevagram choir. This choir brings clients, their families, primary school pupils, local elderly residents, caregivers, volunteers, and employees of the Oranjehof health-care centre together through music. Members of all ages will perform during the Heerlerbaan100 parade ‘Duende’.
